If you are familiar with this breed, other than watching social media, or did an in-depth research on this breed, then you should have an understanding of what these animals are capable of. After thoroughly researching the many options available to purchase a puppy, in-state and out-of-state, I reached out to Rick. It turned out to be the best decision I could have made.

First, Rick takes the time to talk to you about what you are looking for in a protection dog. He answers all your questions, even the ones you do not know to ask, to develop a solid background on what you are looking for and expectations. Rick's knowledge and expertise in the field, and having this interview process sets you up for the best fit when bringing a puppy into your house and family. The genetics show in the physical aspects and intelligence that the puppy exhibits on the first day you meet her. 

Level 1 Protection Puppy Package:

This service has been top-notch. We received a puppy, we named her ***** at 6 months of age. ***** is joining a family of 6 with us having 4 children aging from elementary school to high school. "Attentive, loving, obedient, cute and silly" are just a few of the descriptions my family wanted to point out with *****. She has integrated seamlessly within our family. ***** plays with younger ones knowing not to be too rough, then can play with our older children, and even just relax and cuddle with the mom/ wife. 

***** has the genetics and instincts that, coupled along with the level 1 training, has seamlessly integrated into our household as a protection dog. Her awareness and aloofness is spectacular, her protection instincts are spot on, the kids have friends over all the time and she has no problem. As for the cable technician, she watched him the entire time he was in the house. 

The level 1 training is hands down the best package out there, you have a high quality puppy that has been socializing with Rick's family, as it's a family business, and it shows in spades when we brought ***** home.

Since day one even my youngest has been able to work with ***** and bonds with the children and the entire family are creating with her is amazing.

 This is one of the most amazing, intelligent puppies I have been around. The time and effort that OGK9 places on their Level 1 Protection Puppy Package program turns out to be a superior product that is amazing, and value is second to none. The puppy is eager to learn, eager to work, has the awareness, aloofness, instincts and genetics and personality to protect her home and her pack.

The Level 1 Protection Puppy Package, along with Rick's attention and customer service before, and most definitely after, you bring your puppy home, sets you up to easily succeed in integrating the puppy into your life and getting more than you knew was possible in a protection dog and the safety of knowing that the puppy will do what she needs to, now, and most definitely as she grows.

"To cover all of the superlatives: This dog is bred bad@ss to the core. Prey drive is perfect. Physicality is second to none. Intelligence is unrivaled. First vet check was spotless. I have owned and trained my own family based guard dogs my entire life.  I am retired from the community on both a local LEO level and for Uncle Sam I have seen, worked with, and kicked doors with some of the best dogs this breed has to offer. This bloodline is second to none. Now for the important sh**:

1. There are  a dozen Malinois breeders in the DFW area and surrounding counties, that have puppies for days.  They have litters every 4 months. For them it’s about the $$$$$. OGK9 breeds carefully and sparingly as qualified and eager owners commit. Thusly, keeping the integrity of his bloodline intact.

2. OGK9 supports their country and community. They actively donate high end puppies to working LEOs to make sure their families are protected while those brave folks protect ours.

3. Every joker says they match the dog to the family, but OGK9 puts their money where their mouth is. They AREN’T THERE TO SELL YOU A CHEAP MALINOIS. They are here to match the owner with the dog. The purchase is more like the beginnings of a relationship. Rick spends countless amount of personal time on the phone finding out what your needs and goals are and picks the PERFECT pup for you and/or your family. The communication is weekly and and the updates are regular as the pup gets ready to join your family.

 4. On delivery day Rick spent 2 hours hanging out at the house with the new member of the family answering ever question. Every week OGK9 was checking in, asking for progress reports, and making sure the pup was suited for us, and asking us if we needed help in our training needs.

5. OGK9’s lifetime warranty is a no bullsh*t, no frills, simple contract. Not a bunch of legal jargon to give him an escape. THEY STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT.

 "My male Malinois was an untrained puppy that I wanted to work into a family dog. His natural instincts would make him be a protector, but I wanted a friendly dog most anyone would be willing to approach. Man did I ever get the perfect dog! He has the looks of a square jawed Marine, you would not want to be on his bad side. But he has shown me there is nothing he cannot learn. Ladders, heeling, sit, stay, and by stay I can walk a mile away and he won't move, even if my wife calls him. If she tells him to stay he won't move for me. He has even learned at bedtime before going into his crate, he picks up all his toys around the house and puts them back in his living room "place". He plays well with all dogs and friendly to all ages. Luckily we have never had a situation where he needs to be my protector, but he will instinctively place himself between me and any new person that approaches. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate Rick and his family. The wealth of knowledge Rick brings is unbelievable and his willingness to share that knowledge made training a breeze. I will never acquire another Malinois from another breeder anywhere."
